Description

A calming and flavorful herbal tea rooted in Costa Rican tradition, perfect for digestion, detox, and nighttime fat burning.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 tsp dried lemon verbena (or fresh if available)
  • 1 tsp dried chamomile
  • 1 star anise pod
  • A few fresh mint leaves
  • ½ cinnamon stick
  • Optional: a pinch of baking soda
  • 2½ cups water
  • Optional: raw honey or a touch of brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Bring water to a boil in a small pot.
  2. Add all herbs and baking soda if using.
  3. Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
  4. Turn off the heat and let steep for 5 more minutes.
  5. Strain and serve hot or chill for a cold version.
  6. Optional: Replace half the water with coconut milk for a creamy twist.

Notes

Drink before bed or 30 minutes before meals for best digestion and appetite control. Use whole herbs when possible for optimal flavor and benefits.
