Description

Comforting, creamy, and easy as can be, Dolly’s Chicken and Stuffing Casserole is the ultimate weeknight-meets-Sunday-dinner dish: just five ingredients and a big, cozy flavor.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked shredded chicken (rotisserie works great)
  • 1 box stuffing mix (chicken flavor preferred)
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup sour cream or mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth or water

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the shredded chicken, cream of chicken soup, sour cream or mayo, and chicken broth.
  3. Spread the mixture into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
  4. Prepare stuffing according to package directions, or mix dry with melted butter and hot broth if short on time.
  5. Layer the stuffing evenly over the chicken mixture.
  6. Bake uncovered for 30–35 minutes until hot, bubbly, and golden on top.

Notes

Optional add-ins: shredded cheese, sautéed onions and celery, frozen peas or corn. For extra flavor, drizzle melted butter over the stuffing before baking. Freezes well and reheats beautifully.
