- 8 oz cooked noodles (lo mein, ramen, or spaghetti)
- 8 oz steak, thinly sliced (flank, sirloin, or ribeye)
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon brown sugar or honey
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Optional: chili flakes, sesame oil, sliced green onions
Instructions
- Cook noodles according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
- Heat a skillet or wok over medium-high heat with a splash of oil.
- Add steak in a single layer. Sear for 1–2 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
- Reduce heat to medium. Add butter and garlic. Stir for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Stir in soy sauce, brown sugar, and optional chili flakes.
- Return steak to the pan. Add noodles and toss to coat in sauce.
- Adjust seasoning with salt, pepper, or more soy sauce. Serve hot with green onions or sesame seeds.
Notes
Slice steak thin and sear hot for best texture. Add quick-cooking veggies like snap peas or bell peppers for extra crunch. Swap steak with shrimp, chicken, or tofu for variety.
